About Mrs Jones

My passion for baking and cake decorating stems from many an afternoon spent with my Mum learning the intricacies of it all.

Over the years this has been consolidated by achieving a professional diploma with PME Masters Certificates in Sugarpaste, Sugar Flowers, Royal Icing and Piping, and attending Masterclasses with the very best professional cake decorators in the country.

I am Chair of the Glasgow Branch of the British Sugarcraft Guild, a member of the Scottish Association of Master Bakers and a founding member of the Glasgow Baking Club.

It is also an honour to be the baking expert for the online tutorial library for Designer Cakes and one of their first Accredited Tutors.

  • Yet another feature in the Cake International magazine - Mrs Jones was honoured to be asked for a second tutorial for the Cake International magazine.  This time it was to create a 5 tier wedding cake for the July 2017 edition.  Follow the step by step approach from pages 19 – 23 and make this elegant cake decorated with hand painting in edible silver, and her signature sugar roses and leaves.
  • Try out Mrs Jones recipe for Red Velvet Cake - Mrs Jones shows how to make a perfect Red Velvet Cake from scratch in her step by step tutorial.
  • Mrs Jones features in Cake International magazine - Mrs Jones was honoured to be invited to create a tutorial for her Luxury Gold Drip Cake to feature in the January 2017 edition of the Cake International magazine. Follow the step by step approach from pages 58 – 61 on how to make this easy, tasty ‘blingy’ show stopper.  Recipes for honeycomb, mini macarons and Scottish tablet are also included.
  • Mrs Jones featured in Junebug Weddings - We were delighted to see one of our happy couples' special day in Junebug Weddings. Jenn and Simon knew they wanted something a little different, so choose a beautiful walled garden and 'Secret Garden' theme for their wedding. They also used tips to create something really unique and special for their outdoor ceremony.
